…and you’ll probably find this post!
Here’s a fun little piece commissioned by Google for a new build-out in their Seattle Fremont office. This is a photo I took in Seattle’s Pioneer Sq, rendered at about 9 feet long x 4 feet tall in 1 cm sq. color mosaic tile. The range of colors available in the tileset is pretty impressive; I’d love to do a larger architectural project in this medium.
I have to say, it’s interesting to have my artwork rendered in this medium. The theme of this new office space is “Pioneer Sq”; I thought that the architectural lines of the early-century windows contrasting with the fire escape and the emblematic intersection’s street signs made a good graphic motif for the office’s “micro kitchen” area.
The mosaic was produced by Italian firm Mosaico+.
